CSTAP: Other Programs

Physician Assistant and Nursing students throughout the Commonwealth receive instruction on the female breast-pelvic and the male genital-rectal examinations from trained gynecological and urological teaching associates. During each small group lab, students receive instruction and demonstration, as well as the opportunity to practice their exam skills and receive constructive feedback.

Standardized patients are used to aid in the instruction of practicing physicians, housestaff and allied health students in small group settings.

SPs are also used for lecture demonstrations in various medical school courses (live and videotape).
