CSTAP: Clinical Clerkships Medical students participate in the Clinical Practice Examination (CPX) as a requirement for satisfactory completion of the third year. Details regarding this examination are available by clicking here: CPX Student Instructions. This extended performance assessment includes 7 cases, each consisting of a patient encounter followed by a patient note in USMLE CS format or Oral Presentation to a Resident. These cases represent a varied and representative sampling of clinical scenarios and are written by members of the Advisory Committee.
