Postdoctoral Positions in Fertilization and Gene Regulation of Spermatogenesis
The Department of Cell Biology and the Center for Research in Contraceptive and Reproductive Health (CRCRH) at the University of Virginia School of Medicine announces the availability of two fellowships sponsored by the Fogarty International Center at the National Institutes of Health in the areas of gamete biology, gene regulation of spermatogenesis, and contraceptive drug development. Applicants must hold a Ph.D, M.D., and/or D.V.M. from institutions in India, China, Korea or Indonesia with advanced training in reproductive cell biology, biochemistry, or immunology. Expertise is desirable in areas of mouse in vitro fertilization, promoter analysis, transgenic mice, tandem mass spectrometry, molecular cloning, protein expression, pharmacodynamics, and drug screening.
The successful candidate will be able to make a multi-year commitment of at least two years. The salary will be that of the scale set by the National Institutes of Health for post-doctoral Fellows. Benefits include:
