- About the School
Research into neural regeneration and the utilization of stem cells holds hope for millions of Americans who are affected by deafness, blindness, stroke, Alzheimer's disease, and other neurological disorders. The members of our lab are investigating those topics and seeking to discover methods for stimulating the regeneration of neurosensory cells and means for preventing their loss.
The Research Team
Jeffrey T. Corwin, Principal Investigator, received his Ph.D. in Neuroscience from UCSD in 1980 and taught at the University of Hawaii from 1981-1988. He has been at UVa since 1988. |
