UVa Health System, Department of OB/GYN seeks Women ages 18 - 43 with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) for research study.

In this study we want to determine if acupuncture may be a non-drug alternative for women with PCOS. The purpose of the study is to test if acupuncture restores monthly periods (and the related hormones) in PCOS women. Your study participation would involve study visits over five months including blood and urines samples and questionnaires. The study-related tests are provided at no cost to you. The visits to the acupuncturist (Charlottesville and Richmond, day or evening appointments) are also provided to you at no cost. You will be compensated $170 for completion of the study and provided three free meals.
