An x-ray that makes a picture of the heart, lungs and blood vessels in the chest. The bones are also visible. The chest radiograph is used to follow the size of the heart and effect of the heart defect on the circulation of the lungs. Other problems such as pneumonia could also be seen on chest radiograph.
