| Bacterial meningitis | As per physician |
| Chickenpox | 6 days after the rash appears or when all pox are scabbed over |
| Conjunctivitis | When drainage from eyes has resolved |
| Diarrhea If you know it is caused by any one of the following organisms: Shigella Campylobacter, Salmonella, Giardia |
When diarrhea has resolved |
| Diphtheria | As per physician |
| Epiglottis/pneumonia | As per physician |
| Head lice (pediculosis | 24 hours after therapy is started |
| Impetigo | 24 hours after antibiotic therapy is started |
| Infectious Mononucleosis | As per physician |
| Measles | 5 days after rash appears |
| Mumps | After swelling resolves, or 9 days after swelling begins |
| Pertusis | 5 days after antibiotics are started or if antibiotics are not prescribed, 4 days after intense coughing begins |
| Rubella | 7 days after rash appears |
| Scabies | 24 hours after therapy is started |
| Streptococcal pharyngitis (strep throat) / scarlet fever | 24 hours after antibiotic is started |
