United Ministry is comprised of religiously based organizations and their leaders who provide service to the University of Virginia. The members of United Ministry are committed to the promotion of religious development within the University community through the interaction of religion and intellectual life.

United Ministry explicitly affirms the integrity of the religious expression of each of the member groups and respects the right of all religious groups to hold their particular beliefs without any censure or favoritism with regard to meetings, purpose, and programming.

Anglican College Ministries

Anglican College Ministries is an outreach of Christ Episcopal Church in Charlottesville and The Falls Church (Episcopal) in Northern Virginia serving the University of Virginia community. A worship service will be held at 5:00 pm with supper to follow every Sunday at Christ Episcopal Church, located on the corner of High Street and Second Street, near the downtown mall. Opportunities available for fellowship, Bible study, prayer and counseling.

The Baptist Student Union

The Baptist Student Union (BSU) is a fellowship of students seeking to live effective lives as Christians in the university community. Meetings are held each Thursday evening with dinner at 6 pm, followed by a program at 6:45. The BSU sponsors various local and out of town ministry opportunities, spiritual growth groups, retreats, social activities, and a drama ministry. All welcome.

Campus Crusade for Christ/Agape Christian Fellowship

Center for Christian Study

Email: info@studycenter.net This Center provides a range of study and fellowship opportunities for both undergraduate and graduate students. Programs at the Center include movie discussions, book and issue studies, lecture series and seminary-level theological courses. The building contains a well-stocked library, computer workstations, a bookstore, and meeting rooms/spaces for student gatherings and individual study/reflection.

Chabad Jewish Student Association

Chabad House is a warm, open, non-judgmental place where Jewish students of all backgrounds and affiliations can come together. The main focus is Friday night Shabbat dinners where students join Rabbi Shlomo and Channa Mayer and their 3 children for a 4-course home-cooked feast at no charge.

Chi Alpha Christian Fellowship

Bullettexa@aol.com.  This group meets on grounds, in all sorts of settings and sizes. Gatherings are informal, charged with music, given to humor and deal with everything from relationships to the nature of truth.

Episcopal Campus Ministry  
1700 University Avenue, Charlottesville, VA  22903. (434) 295-2156. Contact: uvachaplain@cstone.net. Sunday Eucharists are at 8 and 10 AM, and 5:30 PM. The 5:30 PM Eucharist is followed by a supper for students. The Canterbury Episcopal Fellowship, composed of undergraduates, meets for supper and program each Wednesday during the academic year at 5:30 PM at the Cantebury House, 120 Chancellor Street.

The Hillel Jewish Center

Hillel offers social, religious, educational and spiritual programming for Jewish students from all types of backgrounds. A wide array of student groups and a diverse mix of programming and leadership opportunities are offered, as well as student-run Shabbat services and kosher dinners.

Intervarsity Christian Fellowship

Lutheran Campus Ministry

Email: brucew@stmarkluheran.org. Offers parish-based ministry to the university, and sponsors the Lutheran Student Movement group. Activities include weekly dinners with discussion, retreats, and service projects.

Orthodox Christian Fellowship

The OCF invites the university community to weekly Orthodox prayer services on campus, Christian education/discussions, informal fellowship gatherings, monastery visits, community service, and other activities. Presbyterian Campus Ministry

Presbyterian Student Fellowship meets for dinner and discussion on Tuesday nights at 6:30 PM in the Student Center on the ground floor, by the railroad tracks. Catholic Student Ministry
St. Thomas Aquinas University Parish, 401 Alderman Road, Charlottesville, VA  22903. (434) 293-8081. Email frluke@ntelos.net.  St. Thomas serves the Catholic students, faculty, staff, and administration at UVa. The parish campus ministry provides complete pastoral services and regular weekend and weekday masses. Special spiritual, educational, service, and social activities are offered by the Catholic Student Ministry (CSM) and Young Adult Ministry. Special weekly student activities include a weekly spaghetti dinner at 6 PM and Fireside Student Mass at 9 PM. Both as held at St. Thomas.

United Methodist Campus Ministry
