Visiting Clergy: Persons (pastors, rabbis, swamis, etc.) who are usually ordained and recognized as professional clergy. They come to the hospital to visit parishioners, or people from their congregations, or religious communities. Pastoral Visitors: People (licensed ministers/lay ministers/visitors) who are appointed by their congregations and clergy to visit patients in the hospital. Clergy must notify the Department of Chaplaincy Services and Pastoral Education, in writing, with regard to each appointed Pastoral Visitor. |
