Before departure ....
a) Application for International Elective required by the School of Medicine
b) School of Medicine International Elective Form which must be signed and submitted to the SOM Electives Coordinator
c) Health insurance including evacuation insurance
d) Proof of all recommended vaccines (signed off by student health)
e) International Studies Office online data, health and waiver forms in ISO Studio Abroad on the ISO Medical Students page.
f) If your research involves human subjects, you must apply for either HIC (Human Investigation Committee) or IRB (Internal Review Board) approval.
Upon return ... please deliver to Student Affairs in the School of Medicine
a) on-site mentor evaluation
b) trip report
