Selection Criteria
- Student applications will be selected according to cultural sensitivity, project excellence/feasibility, relevance to academic / personal goals, and strength of faculty recommendations.
- Students are required to seek out 2 UVa mentors, one of whom works outside the student's discipline. A list of potential mentors can be accessed here.
- Student service learning projects should address health from an interdisciplinary perspective and should incorporate a service learning perspective through proposed service to local populations.
