Purpose and Scope
- To encourage UVa students to address health issues in developing countries or within marginalized populations of developed countries.
- To foster cross-disciplinary research projects which emphasis service to local populations.
- To support existing or new UVa collaborations with universities in countries such as Brazil, Bangladesh, Guatemala, Saipan, and South Africa; new collaborations are also encouraged.
- The Center for Global Health will grant awards up to $3000 for scholars and $500 for two UVA mentors on a competitive basis in support of work to take place during summer or fall.
