UVa’s Center for Global Health has a long and unique history of working with students from across the University to nurture international partnerships, improving the health of those residing in undeserved areas. We achieve this by:
          
  • Building on our nearly 30-year model of sustained international collaborations, supporting Geographic Medicine Scholars and NIH International Fellows
  • Sending Center for Global Health Scholars from over 30 Departments at the University to work each year at collaborating sites throughout Africa, Asia, and Latin America.
  • Encouraging more than 70 undergraduate and graduates at UVa to apply for the CGH Scholarship, provoking a burgeoning interest in global health across the University
  • Producing more than 400 publications with international collaborators and former fellows, including 18 publications with Nobel Laureates Barry Marshall, Alfred Gilman and Ferid Murad
