Cardiovascular research in pediatrics is listed below:

D. Scott Lim, M.D. As one of the founding members of GlimMR Medical Device Innovations, he has focused on medical device development, particular to tools for cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology, and cardiac assist devices. He has partnered with biomedical engineering teams in developing a novel pediatric ventricular assist device, and has received multiple grants supporting this research.

He has become a nationally recognized investigator for percutaneous device therapy of mitral valve disease.

In concert with colleagues at Johns Hopkins, Duke University, and Vanderbilt University, He has pioneered the development of the MAGIC registry for congenital cardiac interventions.

Mark DeBoer, M.D.

Dr. DeBoer' cardiovascular research involves efforts to improve weight control interventions at the Children's Fitness Clinic (several clinical projects), and to determine the utility of different criteria to diagnose the metabolic syndrome in adolescents as a means of predicting risk for common sequelae of obesity (database project).
