Research Description

Principal Investigator. Medtronic REDUCE Heart Failure Study - Reducing Decompensation Events Utilizing Intracardiac Pressures in Patients with Chronic Heart Failure / Chronicle ICD. The study utilizes an extra ICD lead for measuring pulmonary pressures in patients with heart failure

Co-Investigator. ICD use was associated with reduced mortality in both ischemic and nonischemic cardiomyopathy and in patients with implantable defibrillators: mortality data and mechanistic insights from the Sudden Cardiac Death in Heart Failure Trial (SCD-HeFT).

Co-Investigator. Rationale and Design of the Multicenter, Randomized, Double-Blind, Placebo-Controlled Study to Evaluate the Efficacy of Vasopressin Antagonism in Heart Failure: Outcome Study with Tolvaptan (EVEREST)

Principal Investigator. HDE - DeBakey VAD Child Ventricular Assist System, 2005.
