Research Opportunities
The cardiac catheterization laboratory is a fertile ground for research. Numerous prospective studies and clinical trials are on-going in the catheterization laboratory. In addition, many successful retrospective studies have been performed and countless such studies are possible with the rich and diverse patient population serviced by our laboratory.
Interventional fellows are expected to participate in all on-going studies involving interventional techniques and patients undergoing interventional procedures. An Interventional Research Conference is held twice a month and fellows are expected to attend in order to provide them experience in interpretation of data and applying research to their clinical practice.
