Fellowship Program
Applications for 2011-2012 Fellowships may be
submitted via ERAS until the end of March, 2010.
Interviews will be conducted April, May, and June, 2010.

Your ERAS application should contain:
- Common application form
- Curriculum Vitae
- Photograph
- ECFMG status report (If applicable)
- USMLE transcript
- Three letters of recommendation - One letter should come from your Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship Program Director and a second letter from the Division Chief of Cardiology at your present institution. Your third letter is at your discretion.
- Personal statement (discuss your career goals, clinical and research interests, and other information you would like share with the review committee).
Stipends & Benefits:
The stipend for Fellows is set annually by the University of Virginia Health Sciences Center and is based upon PGY status.Benefits include:
- 3 weeks of vacation annually, up to four weeks for leaves of absence
- Health (all premiums and co-pays paid), life, disability, and malpractice insurance
- Discounted membership at 5 University intramural facilities
- On-site gym facilities
- National meetings: (ACC, AHA, etc.) Fellows may attend one national scientific meeting a year paid by the division. Such meetings do not count as vacation time.
- Virginia state medical licensure
- Lab coats and laundry service
