Training Program

Any pre- or post- doctoral student in participating departments can be nominated to join the program based on the expressed interest in a specifically cancer-oriented track. Our objective is to provide a supplemented background in a specific cancer-oriented field in addition to the comprehensive education offered by departmental programs. Students can pursue research in one of the many facets of cancer biology, experience modern tools and techniques, and be exposed to translational research. We are especially interested in providing basic scientists with an understanding of the physical, clinical, and psychosocial aspects of cancer. This exposure is critical for a broader understanding of the disease and a maintenance of perspective and focus in research.
