Cancer Center Support Grant Developmental Funds

Source:  NCI Cancer Center Support Grant P30, gifts from grateful patients and families and foundations.

Eligibility:  Must be an investigator within the CCSG

Purpose:  Support individual pilot projects or “mini-Program Projects” that will lead to larger national peer-reviewed awards.  Can also support recruitment of new faculty, and development of new research cores or expansion of services of existing research cores. Highest priority given to translational projects involving collaborations between clinical and laboratory investigators that will lead to clinical trials.

Submission Dates:  RFA issued via Cancer Center E-news in late summer.  The awards in the range of $10,000 to $50,000.  Approximately 5-10 projects are funded each year. 

Review:  The CCSG Executive Committee including Director, Associate Directors and Program Leaders perform the review.
