What is a Poison?
A poison is any substance that can cause harmful effects in the body. Millions of people are unintentionally poisoned every year, and children under the age of six are at the greatest risk.

Poisons  
Cleaning products
 
Pain relievers
 
Cosmetics
 
Plants and mushrooms
 
Bites and Stings
 
Carbon monoxide
 
Medicines
   
Insecticides/pesticides

First Aid for Poisoning:
Move person into fresh air. Avoid breathing fumes.
Flood skin with water for 10 minutes.
Wash gently with soap, water and rinse.
Rinse eye with lukewarm, low pressure water.
Continue 15 mins.
Do not give anything by mouth until calling the poison center or your doctor.
