Guidelines and Deadlines

<<< back to information on Dissertation and Defense

Rotations are to be completed and a dissertation advisor should be selected by the end of the first year in residence. The research proposal must be completed and defended by the end of the second year in residence. Students are expected to normally defend their dissertation after about five, but not more than six years in the program. Significant deviations from these guidelines must be approved by the Executive Committee of the Biophysics program.
