The Biomolecular Research Facility offers high quality custom DNA synthesis of oligonucleotides up to 120 bases at scales of 0.04, 0.2, and 1.0 micromole. Our new ABI 3900 DNA Synthesizer is a very precise and flexible instrument. Orders are accepted on-line, or by completing an order form. Completed order forms should be placed in the box outside room 1076 or faxed to 982-2514. Oligos are normally ready in 48 hours Heterogeneous site syntheses are routinely performed. Various labellings and modifications are offered after prior notification. The current purification methods include Sephadex G25 gel filtration (desalting) recommended for most molecular biology applications, and cartridge affinity chromatography for precise separation of the full-length sequences only.
