Bell Postdoctoral Fellowship in Biomedical Ethics

The Center for Biomedical Ethics invites applications and nominations for the Bell Postdoctoral Fellowship in Biomedical Ethics for the 2006-07 academic year. The Bell Fellow will conduct advanced research in bioethics and participate in the intellectual life of one of the nation's most active, collegial and prominent bioethics communities. There may be teaching opportunities depending on the fellow's education and interests. Benefits of the fellowship will include a stipend of $27,000 and suitable office space and equipment.
Applicants must hold a terminal degree (Ph.D., J.D., M.D., etc.) by the time they begin the fellowship. Applications should include a letter summarizing the applicant's prior work and proposed research project, a curriculum vitae, and the names and contact information of three individuals who are familiar with their scholarship and can provide letters of reference.
The Center especially invites applications from individuals who are members of historically underrepresented groups.
