FORTHCOMING PUBLICATIONS
Look in the July issue of Nature Bio for an article from the Program in Ethics and Policy in Health Care faculty, Ann Mills, MBA, Msc (Econ), Donna Chen, M.D., MPH, John Gillon, J.D., (visiting scholar) and Patti Tereskerz, J.D., Ph.D. discussing the impact of the new CREATE legislation on biotechnology patents and technology transfer.
Forthcoming this summer: University Publishing Group will release Patti Tereskerz', Director, of the Program in Ethics and Policy, new book entitled Riding the Green Wave: Financial Conflicts of Interest in Industry Sponsored Clinical Research: A Law and Policy Analysis. The book focuses on the conflicts that emerge from the financial relationships between private industry and primarily academic institutions and investigators conducting clinical research. The book argues that the existing regulatory/guidance framework is not sufficient to manage these conflicts effectively and proposes a new model intended to address many of the limitations of the existing policy framework.
