Dear University of Virginia School of Medicine applicant:

Your 2004 application to the School of Medicine is now complete with AMCAS application, Supplemental Application, and letters of recommendation. If you elected to take the August, 2003 MCAT, your application will not be evaluated until those scores arrive, even if you have previous scores on your application. Otherwise, preliminary review of your completed application will now begin.

Evaluation of applications at the University of Virginia is a careful and comprehensive process that may take several weeks or even months to complete. Please do not become alarmed if you do not hear from us for an extended period of time. Repeated phone calls to the Admissions Office are not helpful and require the staff to take time away from processing incoming applications. Please be assured that your application will receive a thorough evaluation, and we will contact you when a decision has been made.

Sincerely,

Beth A. Bailey, Ph.D.

Assistant Dean for Admissions

U. Virginia School of Medicine
