Welcome to the UVA OB-Gyn Student Clerkship Website!
Over the next 4 weeks, you will gain valuable skills and knowledge to enhance your medical career. We hope you have a fun and educational experience with our department. The joys of a mother meeting her infant for the first time and the sorrows of a cancer diagnosis will touch you and enrich your life. Your education will encompass primary care women's health, normal labor and obstetric complications, benign and malignant gynecologic conditions and basic surgical technique. You will gain these skills through lectures, didactics, textbook readings, and direct patient contact.
