DESCRIPTION:"Global Health in the Americas: Technology to Diminish Health Disparities" brings together distinguished researchers and physicians from Haiti, Brazil, Costa Rica and the United States to discuss challenges and best practices in the effort to address health disparities. Primary care, public policy, and telemedicine outreach are contextualized by additional invited speakers on health economics. UVa faculty in pediatrics, infectious diseases, public health, surgery and emergency medicine contribute to the discussion.
