policy 0155 : Provision of Healthcare Services to Children

Children have unique physiological, diagnostic, therapeutic, and psychosocial needs. The Medical Center shall provide for children's care and treatment, delivered by appropriately trained healthcare providers in facilities designed and equipped to serve the pediatric population. All persons providing healthcare services to children shall follow University of Virginia Children's Hospital guidelines and protocols at http://www.healthsystem.virginia.edu/docs/manuals/guidelines/childrens_hospital
