policy 0255 : Mandatory Reporting of Healthcare Practitioners

Virginia laws require hospitals and healthcare practitioners to report specific matters related to licensed or certified healthcare practitioners to the Virginia Department of Health Professions. Failure to make the mandatory reports is punishable by fines and licensing penalties. The individuals specified in this policy, and all healthcare practitioners providing treatment and care at the Medical Center and its clinics shall comply with the mandatory requirements for reporting to the Virginia Department of Health Professions.
