guideline 2.185 : Pregnancy Testing Guidelines Before Receiving Ionizing Radiation

An attempt is made to delineate procedures/exams using Ionizing Radiation, which would cause harm to the unborn child. While knowing the pregnancy status is an important part of the medical history and workup, with proper technique and collimation, many exams need NOT be considered as a threat for imaging due to their low or zero fetal dose.
