guideline 2.150 : Intravenous Medication Administration Guidelines - Adult Acute Care

This document outlines the MINIMUM expectations and monitoring requirements for the administration of certain intravenous medications on adult acute care and intermediate units, in accordance with Medical Center Policy 267. The document describes: Medications that may be administered via slow IVP, loading dose, or IV infusion; Medications that require monitoring and outlines the appropriate monitoring recommendations; Medications that may be administered on an adult acute care unit only by or in the presence of a physician.
