guideline 2.090 : Fall Assessment And Prevention Guideline

This guideline provides interdisciplinary recommendations for fall prevention for all patients served by the University of Virginia Health System regarding Fall Prevention, including fall type, level of injury severity, intrinsic/extrinsic fall risk factors, standard & individualized fall prevention strategies, post-fall event process. Appendix A: Universal fall prevention strategies, all patients/all settings. Appendix B1 & B2: Fall prevention strategies for Inpatient, Procedure Areas & ED. Appendix C1 & C2: Fall prevention strategies for Ambulatory setting. Appendix D: Post-Fall process for Inpatient, Ambulatory, Home Health, and Visitors.
