The Center on Health Disparities at the University of Virginia Health System is a multidisciplinary team of clinicians, clinical scientists, social scientists, ethicists, epidemiologists, anthropologists, and community leaders.

This team works together to evaluate health care, identify existing problems and inequities, and, through understanding of the needs, values and culture of minority populations, designs solutions which will lead to improved health.

These efforts should lead to a health care system that is available to all, while being sensitive to and respectful of the culture and values of all.
